You can however find great deals with many companies. dentalplans.com for instance does offer a free 3 months of insurance when you sign up. the basic cost a month is around a hundred bucks a year and when you purchase one of these programs they give you 3 months free. Dental Plans are different then dental insurance. However the type of coverage is basically the same. With a dental plan you may have less providers so if you have a current dentist you will want to check that your dentist is in their network. Going with a dental plan is often the better way to save money. I have my own dental plan because I am self employed. When I had a job I did have dental insurance but to be honest the coverage I get with my dental plan is better. This is not always the same but for a lot of people it is.
